Starting to plan For August.

This week I was able to go to lakeshore learning and grab a calender I am going to start focusing On getting them to know Seasons, Weather, Days of the week, Months of the year, And calender. we May keeo track of how many days without Rain we have had to go with it.

Its not much But I bought some more paint and buckets to help with the school year.

And some Items I have to use. Math games, German Little Pim, And Art studio, REading for understanding it pretty easy and comes with plastic sleeves/ I also started working on setting up my Binders.

School starts for many August.

So we are out gathering Items here latley. I got to attend the free day at THSC Convention. I will say The Christian  Works were really over populating everything else And they blew my mind have a Anti Abortion stall there. Boy Scouts were there, Lots of really interesting Things to look at. Some of my favorite companys were there. Like The Critical thinking company. I saw people walking away with bags of items. One had a bag full of Hank the cow dog. But I Also Found a new Study I want to get and use with both of the girls. Its called the home grown preschooler. I can use it with both my kids. It can come PDF or loose leaf paper that you can put into a binder. Its great It gives you ideas to do and a shopping list to gt it done each month with. I can always  do a more formal work with them as they get older and at least this one I can include Sissy into it and use it on her until she is ready for more.

Nothing much Just a bad week

Nothing much has happened this week.

Background Our neighbors Kids kept breaking our fence tearing down post. And We would just put up some Metal sheet until we could afford to buy a new fence in the meantime I would haft to stay out there because the neighbors would pretend to want to play with my three year old and then Try and break her arm throug the fence. One little boy was really nice and never tried to do that so I always felt comfterable letting Delilah talk to him and contemplated letting him come over to play. But I walked away one day and watched through the living room the little boy waited for me to leave before he started trying to Grope and kiss my three year old through the fence I ran after him and chased him off Not too long after that his mom loaded him up in the car and Took off where I couldnt Confront her about it. And Panicking I called the cops and CPS.

All my life I was taught They were there for instances like this. I was wrong. The cops told me not everything was a police matter and CPS opened a investigation into me for leaving her alone. It should be closed But Im still shocked that it is even happening. When they first pulled up she thought I had let her out in the front yard unattended and then when she opened the case she saw it was my phone call on my neighbors that landed me an investigation. as she left she said dont call us we dont get your phone number and everything unless you call us. That there is nothing to correct as we are already getting our fence fixed and that she dosnt understand why they have an investigation into me.

They are finishing the Fence right now adding the gate and then they are leaving. I am so excited We have not the best neighbors And having a  good fence Puts my heart at ease with having little girls. Hopefully the neighbors wont break it.

On another Side note not shure What happened to Korrah this last week either something she picked up at 4th of July of from Mosquitos I had to take her in to the ER Tuesday night Her fever had been creeping up all day starting at 100.3 when she woke up. give her tylonal IBprfin every 3 hours and change and it would bring it down but it would come back higher. I called her Peditrician and he wanted me to go every 5 hours. By night time her fever had shot up to 103.6 adn she threw up her medicine. I didnt think I could make a 1 hour drive downtown and called Genitics to call our closes ER hospital so that they could get her IV ready when we got there. Its not "hard " to manage her and there shouldn't be anything to fear but at the same time you dont want to wait and wait until its BAD. When we got there It took 30min-1 hour to fight just for them to read her Surgar levels. It was 89. She was not a diabetic and even though genitics told them to check it they did not want to because She was not Diabetic. After waiting in the waiting room They Put us in the ER room and just about forgot us. The Nurse came in with tylonal and a Chest Xray person came in 3 times asking to take her for an Xray But I would not let her go without her IV started.

Eventually 2 things happened 1 I called Genitcs back to see if they knew what IVs to start and 2 a random tech guy came in to get a machine and asked me how we were going At this point I'm guessing Korrahs Surgar levels were so low it was becoming increasingly difficult to wake her up. an example would be at night time I cant roll her head around because she has muscle control to sop it from moving. or she wakes up easy. When the guy asked that at this point I was going on 2-3 hours with out the IV we came for. And I picked my daughter up from the bed and she just wasn't there her head fell back her arms just hung there limp and the guy ran out of the room. I never saw so many people to get an IV started right after that. And it wouldnt have been like that had they done it the moment we walked in. The good news is as almost as soon as the IV started 10-15 minutes later her fever was down. she was waking up but still a little hard to wake up. She didnt feel good and Its hard to come back on her when she drops like that. They were almost sure downtown was going to take us but Once the fever broke she was good and we were able to go home. Somewhere between there and my car I lost my cell phone. Today is Saturday and While her fever is not 103 or 104 ( in the hospital)  She still keeps trying to run a fever and This morning she woke up coughing and not feeling well. So im hoping this weekend stays uneventful And Monday i am hoping to get her referral to another specialist So i am hoping everything will calm down.Between these two photos I am hoping you can see the discoloration setting in from Low Blood Surgar and not getting an IV when she needed too.

FOD Awareness month

 https://www.facebook.com/orderIDACards?fref=ts

July is Fatty Oxidation Month Hi Like I first mentioned Korrah was diagnosed with a rare condition Called MCADD   or Medium Chain acyl-co-enzyme A dehydrogenase deficiency .Which is not only a Fatty Oxidation disorder but a mitochondrial disorder. I am very lucky that Korrah was born appearing normal as to not face ridicule. But it does not lessen the severity of her disorder. She can be fine one moment and in a Crisis the very next. More children die of a Mito disorder than cancer every year and yet there are no cures, Almost no research, and most importantly Very few doctors. This month is to raise awareness about these disorders. Please Share the more people know the more people can do.

I made these Ribbons The Zebra stripe is for RARE disorders. a blue ribbon with Yellow Is FOD and a a Green ribbon for MITO

Another mom made a MCADD ribbon Of blue and pink Zebra stripes for RARE and the blue and pink for SIDS a purple strip for the kids who lived and a silver stripe for disabilty.
Eventually we would like to have some TEAM KORRAH shirts made  a heart with butterflys on the back and a ribbon on the front

Background story of this photo. Was my first time something was wrong with Korrah. We had just gotten the results in possibly the day before. I had taken her to a Hospital near us in Clear Lake. I had already called Genetics and they had called the hospital to prep for us. While we were there the ER Doctor refused to treat us because She was Fine and he had more important People to treat. I breast Fed her the entire time only giving myself 5 minutes rest. After a few hours When they were still refusing to treat us Genitics called and told them to send us to them. It takes about an hour depending on traffic to get to them and I will always hold it in my heart how fast things can go wrong. She spent a couple of nights in NICU After that all because she Looked normal enough that a doctor refused to look at a protocol letter and did not treat her.
